How working together goes
Four steps, at your pace, from the first call to the years after.
Call or email
Call the office or send an email. Say what you would like to protect or save for, and book a time to meet.
Review your needs
At the Thornhill office or by phone, go through your family, income, debts, savings and any cover you already have, such as a plan at work.
Compare the options
See the options that fit your needs and budget, explained in plain language, and decide in your own time.
Review as life changes
A new child, a new home or a new job changes what you need. Your cover and savings are reviewed when it does.

Questions before you call
Straight answers to what people ask most. For anything else, call the office.
416-491-7727Where do we meet?
At the office at 7191 Yonge Street, Suite 711, in Thornhill, or by phone. Meetings are by appointment, so call or email first to book a time.
What should I bring to a first meeting?
A rough picture of your income, debts and savings, and the details of any insurance you already have, including group benefits through work.
How much life insurance do I need?
It depends on what it has to pay for: your income for a number of years, the mortgage and other debts, your children’s education and final expenses. A needs review adds these up for your family.
Should I buy term or permanent life insurance?
Term insurance covers a set period, such as 20 years, and costs less to start. Permanent insurance lasts your whole life and can build cash value. Many families use one, the other or both.
Should I save in an RRSP or a TFSA?
An RRSP gives you a tax deduction now and is taxed when you take money out; a TFSA gives no deduction but grows and comes out tax-free. Which comes first depends mostly on your tax rate today and in retirement.
My parents are coming to visit. What insurance do they need?
Visitors are not covered by OHIP. For a Super Visa, they need private medical insurance of at least $100,000, valid for at least one year from the day they arrive. For a shorter visit, visitor insurance covers medical emergencies.
